bathtime...bathtime

Ok, so I thought it would be fun to have a contest to see who could tell the difference. Cause I think they look crazy similar.

1) A is Ethan. B is Mikala.
2) A is Mikala. B is Ethan.
3) A & B is Ethan.
4) A & B is Mikala.

Post a comment and leave your choice.

Ethan was concerned Mikala was crying. He said “I wanna shake it”. I was thinking, ‘uh, no honey you don’t want to shake the baby’. Then he said “I wanna shake it. Rabbit.” I was like ‘oh, ok.’ So he ran outside and grabbed the little rattle rabbit and started shaking it for Mikala so she would stop crying. Which as you can see from the picture she did not do.

(Jeff pointing at a drawing of a face he knows Melanie drew)

Jeff: Who drew that Ethan?

Ethan: I draw it.

Jeff: Are you sure?

Ethan: No, I just kidding.

bathtime...bathtimeLast Friday the four of us decided to go out for the first time since the arrival of Mikala and have lunch at a Tai restaurant. It was a beautiful day! We got ready and I put Ethan in his car seat when I noticed Fred walk out by himself. I thought… where is Mikala? I smiled and asked Fred where she was. He couldn’t believe that he left her on our bed in her car seat. We both looked at each other and laughed. I guess it’ll take some time for us to get used to having another child.

Oh Brother, Where Art thou?

I must say it is a real treat watching Ethan interact with his sister. I think Jena and I did a good job in trying to prepare him for the new addition. In whatever capacity he was able to understand he knew ‘baby sister’ was coming. He would kiss Jena’s tummy and hug his unborn sister. When she finally came out he said ’so cute’ and ‘i love sister’. Another golden moment was when the nurse took Mikala away to take a bath Ethan asked ‘Where’s my baby sister going?’ And we have that on tape! So for the most part I think Mikala has been welcomed lovingly into our growing family. Ethan has grown up so much as well. He eats alot more. He doesn’t look for his mom as much. It’s just amazing to see how he matured literally over night. People probably won’t believe it but he has taken on the big brother role with grace. I never did anything to deserve such blessings. Starting with jena to ethan to mikala.
